21310 PC- Unlawful carrying and possession of weapons
LOCATION:  40400 block of Orosi Drive          DATE:  6-29-12          TIME:  2328 Hrs

On 6-29-12 at approximately 2328 hours Deputies from the Orosi Substation contacted a Hispanic male adult at the 40400 block of Orosi Drive, in Cutler, on a consensual encounter.  After contacting the subject he was found to be in possession of illegal weapons.  The male was later identified as Angel Gustavos Saavedra Maldonado.  Maldonado was arrested for P.C. 21310 and transported to TCMJ where he was booked for the above charges.

The case is currently under investigation by the Tulare County Sheriff's Office.

Narcotics Arrest - Exeter

On 06/27/12 at approx 1030 Officers from the Exeter Police Department were in the 300 blk of S. “H” St regarding a complaint of marijuana cultivation and city code violations. When code enforcement officers arrived they noted marijuana being cultivated and contacted the Inter Agency Narcotics Enforcement Team to continue the investigation. A search warrant was served. The ensuing investigation and search revealed that Carmen Puga and Sari Gamino Duran were in possession of approximately two (2) pounds of marijuana packaged for sales, 180 marijuana plants being cultivated in the back yard, indicia related to the sale and transportation of marijuana, maintaining a residence for illicit narcotic sales, three (3) rifles and one (1) handgun were seized, as well as child endangerment. There were three (3) children in the residence under the age of ten (10) that were exposed to these activities. Also located within the residence were the items relating to a lab that indicated the extraction of THC from the marijuana plants. The lab was non operational. Illegal fireworks were located in the residence and released to Tulare County Fire Department Investigators for further investigation.

Both suspects booked at their respective Tulare County Jail facilities on the listed charges.

Arrest made on marijuana case
LOCATION:  24000 block of Ave 95          DATE:  06-26-12          TIME:

Detectives from the Sheriff’s Office STEP Team were conducting Medical Marijuana compliance checks in the Terra Bella area when the investigators were lead to a residence in the 24000 Blk of Ave 95.  The ensuing investigation revealed that Martin Torres Garcia was out of compliance with his medical marijuana recommendation and arrested for Cultivation of Marijuana, 126 marijuana plants were seized as well as indicia related to the cultivation of marijuana all under the guise of Medical Marijuana.

Garcia was booked at the Tulare County Main Jail on the above listed charges.

On the above date and time deputies were dispatched to Kaweah Delta Hospital for a report of a gun shot wound victim. They arrived and found the victim suffering from gunshot wound to the leg. He underwent surgery and is currently in stable condition.

During the investigation it was discovered the victim was in the front yard of a residence with several other subjects in the 30600 block of Juniper in Goshen. A gray Honda drove by and several rounds were fired at the subjects in the yard.

Deputies located the suspect vehicle a few blocks away in the 6600 block of Ave 308 and a search warrant was written for the residence. Three suspects were taken into custody and booked on charges of assault with a deadly weapon 245 PC and participating in a gang crime 186.22 PC. The two adults were booked at the Tulare County Main Jail. The juvenile was booked at the Tulare County Juvenile Detention Facility.

Deputies from the Tulare County Sheriff's Dept. conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and during the consent search of the vehicle,  Deputies located methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle. The driver was taken into custody and booked at the Tulare County Jail Facility.

11360 HS, 11359 HS-Transportation and Sales of Marijuana

On Thursday, 6-21-12 at about 5:03 pm, personnel from the Tulare County Sheriff Department’s Gang Unit made an enforcement stop upon a vehicle for a moving violation in the area of Road 159 and Avenue 327 in Ivanhoe.  

Through further investigation, detectives located about two pounds of processed marijuana, approximately 100 marijuana cigarettes, numerous “pay/owe” records and some packaging materials all within the vehicle. 

Dora White (50 years) was then arrested for the transportation and sales of marijuana without incident and subsequently booked into the Bob Wiley Detention Facility.

After an approximate six (6) month investigation into illegal sales and cultivation of Marijuana trafficking in the unincorporated Dinuba area, investigators from the Sheriff’s Department’s STEP Team and Central Valley Marijuana Investigation Team (CVMIT) were lead to a residence in the 41600 Blk of RD 68 where a search warrant was served.  The ensuing investigation and search revealed approximately 100 pounds of processed marijuana,  1500 live Marijuana plants being cultivated, a stolen handgun was recovered, another handgun and a shotgun were also seized and indicia related to the sales and Cultivation of Marijuana,. The Marijuana plants being cultivated under the guise of Medical Marijuana.
There were several children present and exposed to the activities at the residences and the weapons were with in reach of the children.

The suspects were booked at the respective Tulare County Jail facilities on the  listed charges.

Arrests Made on Narcotics Case

After an approximate two (2) week investigation into illegal narcotics trafficking in the Visalia area, investigators from the Sheriff’s Department’s Narcotics Division were lead to a residence in the 1600 Blk of N. Goddard where a search warrant was served.  The ensuing investigation and search revealed that the listed suspects were in possession of approximately 2.11 ounces of Methamphetamine, 1.25 ounces of Marijuana, indicia related to the sale of illegal narcotics, maintaining a residence for illicit narcotic sales, destruction of evidence, delaying an officer as well as child endangerment and a felon in possession of ammunition.

WANTED FOR QUESTIONING
LOCATION:  1600 block of S. Crestview, Porterville          DATE:  06-11-12          TIME:  1219

On 6-11-12 at 1219 hrs, Deputies responded to a residential burglary in the 1600 block of S. Crestview in Porterville. 

The investigation revealed Jose Martinez and Dustin Sheldon committed a burglary at the residence.  They were confronted by a neighbor and fled in an older model red Jeep Cherokee.  The vehicle crashed just south of the scene, rolling over, but landed upright and resumed its flight.  The vehicle became disabled at Plano and H190, where Dustin Sheldon and Jose Martinez were seen with the vehicle.  Jose Martinez fled, but Dustin Sheldon was contacted and detained near the vehicle.  The ensuing investigation has also linked Jose Martinez and Dustin Sheldon to a burglary which occurred in the 20000 block of Rd 256 in the Strathmore area on 6-10-11.

Narrative:

Suspect: Rodriguez, Andy 10/14/87

At the aforementioned mentioned time, deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 200 block of North Thompson Street in Tipton regarding a subject who was threatening to kill his mother. Upon arrival they learned that the suspect had attempted to strike the victim in the head with a brick, but she was able to move out of the way, escaping injury. The suspect then fled the area in his vehicle. Utilizing support from the Sheriff's Air Unit, the suspect's vehicle was discovered near the town of Woodville. A traffic stop was initiated, however the suspect refused to stop leading deputies on a short pursuit. The suspect eventually abandoned his vehicle and fled on foot. Again the Sheriff's air patrol directed ground personnel to a location where the suspect was eventually apprehended by members of the Sheriff's K9 unit.

Eufemio Gonzalez, age 45 of Shingletown, CA

After an approximate six (6) week investigation into illegal narcotics and cultivation of Marijuana trafficking in the unincorporated Farmersville/ Visalia area, investigators from the Sheriff’s Department’s STEP Team were lead to a residence in the 16800 Blk of Theresa where a search warrant was served.  The ensuing investigation and search revealed that Eufemio Gonzalez of Shingletown, Ca.  was in possession of approximately 200 pounds of unprocessed marijuana, 40 pounds of processed Marijuana ,8 ounces of concentrated Cannabis and indicia related to the sale and transportation of Marijuana,. There were 385 Marijuana plants being cultivated at the time all under the guise of Medical Marijuana.

Gonzalez was booked at the Tulare County Main Jail on the above listed charges.

On 6/17/2012 at 0730 hours deputies responded to the 12400 block of Avenue 416 regarding a report of a vandalism following a dispute over property. The victim reported that Mario Delacruz, her ex-boyfriend, had smashed her vehicle with a block of concrete, shattering windows and causing body damage estimated at $1000.
Mario Delacruz was arrested at the scene and booked on charges for vandalism.

The case is currently under investigation by the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office.

On 06-17-12 deputies contacted a male subject at a residence in the 26000 Block of Ave 138, Porterville during a suspicious vehicle incident. The male subject in the vehicle was later determined to be a convicted felon who was in possession of approximately six boxes of ammunition. The male subject was also in possession of six EBT cards not belonging to him that had previously been deactivated and reported as lost or stolen. The male subject was arrested and booked at the Porterville Substation.
